Their facility is beautiful and their Alaskan hospitality is informative and pleasant. A great way for our guests to start their fly fishing vacation in Southwest Alaska. This evening in Dillingham gives each member of your group a chance to arrive at their leisure on Sunday afternoon, time to make sure every one's baggage arrives, etc... If you're adventurous you may want to see the village of Dillingham, home of the largest commercial Alaska salmon fishing gill net fleet in the world. All of our flying is done with a twin engine amphibious Grumman Goose or Mallard.
Upon your arrival at Fishing Bear we help you move into one of our beautiful cedar and spruce guest cabins, which can accomodate two or three people each. The cabins have very nice views on the waterfront at the mouth of the Peace River. All cabins have single beds, table and chairs, propane lighting and mirrors, etc. After an early lunch we're off for an afternoon and evening of Alaska's finest fly fishing and sightseeing, as we enthusiastically begin your week at Fishing Bear Lodge in southeast Alaska.
