Fishing Bear is a remote fly-in wilderness fly fishing lodge situated at the mouth of the pristine Peace River in the heart of the famous 1.6 million acre Wood River - Tikchik River Park in Southwest Alaska.

Freshwater fish are prolific throughout the area and make for a great Alaska fly fishing experience. Our guests enjoy the quality of each days experience and enjoy fly fishing diversity on 10 different clear water rivers, streams and 6 lakes.
Rainbow Trout, Arctic Char, Dolly Varden, Arctic Grayling, Whitefish and Northern Pike abound in the lakes and interconnected rivers. An average of 1.3 million Sockeye Salmon spawn this system of Alaska rivers annually.
