"Great FUN, FOOD, and FELLOWSHIP... three words that best describe my two hunting trips to Andersen Farms. I came on my first trip as a non-hunter (honestly preferring the prey to escape) but was able to share in the experience with a group really great hunters and shooters. Art was patient enough to teach me some of the finer arts of shooting straight and by the end of my first trip actually landed my first kills, no dead-eye or anything but surprised myself enough that I no longer wanted the birds to escape. One of the more interesting aspects were the safety issues. Nothing was done without safety being first, for yourself, the other hunters and the dogs, even the experienced hunters were given safety instructions that had to be strictly adhered to at all times. The dogs were incredible hunters in their own right and deserve a lot of the credit for our success in hunting. I am a "dog- person" by nature and it was such a treat to watch them work. The food we were served was nothing short of the best I ever tasted, a feast at every meal, 3 times a day. I would put the chef up against the best in the business, you won`t find any better, anywhere. We were made to feel at home in all that we did the entire time we were there and the accommodations were superb. The friends I came with, the ones I had made previously and all the new ones made my trip complete. The social time was the best and the stories told even better. It all guarantees that I`ll look forward to being back again next year.
